+ Love a deal.

Remember that tee shirt refashion from a month ago…here it is in an outfit post! Love this shirt a TON! So comfy and flattering. I purchased this men’s american apparel shirt for a dollar at DI, I bought these boots at Aldo 60% off…love a deal, vest and pants are Forever 21 – cheap cheap cheap.
Oh and last night, I finally serged something with my serger (got it for Christmas) for the first time. Awesome! It took so long because, well, I couldn’t thread the dang thing, lame. But I finally figured it out. Sergers make everything looks so much cleaner and finished, I’m going to serge everything now it will be crazy.

  1. The threading was the hardest part for me to learn when I got my serger too. Did you watch the DVD to learn how? I know you will love serging!

  2. Hey! I just found your blog and LOVE it. My new obsession is finding some gems at Value Village and revamping them, like you, so when I found your blog I was so stoked, so much inspiration! I have tweaked dresses and shirts before, but have always been scared of pants, you have given me the motivation now:)

Your blog rocks, thanks so much for all the rad posts!

  3. Love the shoes!

  4. I would KILL for a serger! That is SO cool! Girl you are a little refashion genius! I love it!

  5. so super jealous of your serger! i used my friends on Evas Baptism dress and i fell in LOVE! you look amazing! i love cheap that looks chic and you do it so well!

  6. I just found your blog today and I LOVE it!!!!! I added it to my blogroll so I will check it everyday. I looked through your entire blog this morning. I really love your tutorial on making skinnies out of bigger pants. I have been sewing for 11 years, but I have never really understood how to make pants fit tighter in the rear. I did not realize that it was to do with the crotch seam. I have literally gone on sewing message boards several times and asked for help, but all the advice I have gotten just seems so complicated and yours makes so much sense. I have three pairs of pants that are too big in the rear end and the leg. I ordered three new pairs yesterday to replace them. However, I am going to try your method to see if I can get them smaller. If I can do it, I can return my new pants when they get here and just keep wearing my old ones. And I can save my money.

  7. I have been seriously considering purchasing a serger on Craigslist…hmmmm…your positive spin on having one makes me much more likely to plunge in…thanks for the tip!!

  8. Good information. Lucky me I came across your website by accident (stumbleupon). I have saved as a favorite for later!

  9. You ought to be a part of a contest for one of the highest quality blogs on the net. I most certainly will recommend this blog!
