This dress is perfect date dress…show just a little skin and shows off the curves. With just a few quick steps you can add flare to a dress, not to mention length.

dress: thrifted/altered (tutorial below)    shoes: f21


1/2 to 1 yard of light to medium fabric
sewing machine


Look at this tutorial (trumpet skirt) for further help on adding the ruffle and here to help with adding sleeves.

    I’m blown away by your tutorials, because the way to create a garment often is very easy but describing the ‘how-to’ in a tutorial is very hard. But you manage to make them clear and easy to understand! I really appreciate your DIY page. I just started making garments and this is the perfect way for me to learn how to make whatever I want to create. Without spending tons of money in fashion school.
