+ DIY wide pleat wrap skirt

Super easy skirt, that looks so complicated. I love how feminine and pretty it is, and the best part…its a wrap! No zipper! Yay! I made this within my baby’s naptime and I am obsessed. I can tell my husband is too because he told me I was looking pretty, aka, he likes it a lot.

top: Sosie c/o     skirt: self-made     jacket: guess   shoes: steve madden

2+ yard of fabric. I used a stiffer fabric to emphasize the pleats.

I finally made this with some chevron polyester. It made a great, swingy, summer skirt and the wrap gives plenty of coverage instead of making a lining. I love it!

  18. what exactly kind of fabric did you use?

  19. Happygirl says:

Just wondering- do you think it would be viable to use snap closures instead of buttons?

  25. Thanks so much for this tutorial! It was a snap to figure out the pleats! I love pleated skirts!

  26. Is there a reason you do not hem it before you put in the pleats? I am a newbie.
